The Thüringer Volkshochschulverband e.V. (TVV e.V.) is the umbrella organisation of the 23 regional adult education centres based on the communities and major cities in Thuringia, Germany. Our aim is to promote adult education in general, political, cultural and professional terms. We are involved in the implementation of lifelong learning through raising consciousness among the wider public and working on the basic conditions for it. Further we carry out pedagogical work in the six fields of the adult education centres: politics/society/environment, cultural education, health care, languages, professional education and basic skills education. An important aspect of our work is the training of adult education teachers.

TVV e.V. was the coordinator of the “Stronger Children – Less Violence” project, funded under the Daphne programme from 2009 to 2011.



Language school with the state language exams rights Pelikán Ltd. (PELICAN) based in Brno, Czech Republic and founded in 2002 offers courses in the field of language learning, teacher training, retraining and development of communication skills and digital literacy. The courses are attended by approximately 1,000 students and teachers every year. PELICAN offers accredited courses and workshops for individual areas of education in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

PELICAN aims to contribute to improving the quality of education at pre-primary, primary, secondary and post-secondary schools in the Czech Republic. It also caters for the needs of teachers to adopt and implement modern trends in education. In this respect, its activities represent a significant form of support to teachers and students. PELICAN is reaching out to key policy and decision makers to involve them in its plans and to influence take-up of the new and innovative teaching and learning methods.


SPOŁECZNA AKADEMIA NAUK (SAN) is one of the leading private universities in Poland having 20,000 students and  numerous academic staff. There are 18 departments, including Language Studies, Culture Studies, Sociology, Pedagogy and Psychology. Apart from main activity the University is a significant institution of persistent adult education (LLL) offering tailored courses for adults in different environments, including various disadvantaged groups. Our experts have wide experience in pedagogy, including inclusive education or preventing violence at schools. We have close contacts with primary and secondary schools in our region. Our didactics have been involved in numerous projects addressing school education.

SAN is the coordinator of the Multilingual Families, an international project to support multilingual families and children.


MHTCONSULT is a private and independent research and development organisation, focusing on intercultural inclusion, integration, diversity, prevention and empowerment among children, youth and adults, and in both working life and social contexts. The organisation was founded in December 2000 in Helsingør, Denmark. Based on the values of diversity and equal citizenship, the organisation is building a bridge between analytical knowledge and practical tools in a wide range of professional areas. The organisation’s services include evaluation, research and analysis, methodological development, methodological documentation and tool boxes, process facilitation, courses and teaching and holistic guidance, competence clarification and mentorship.

Baobab Association is a non-profit association created in 2001 by a professional team of experts in training and research that creates projects, systems and strategies for the development of the Human Resources in the organizations. The target groups of our activity are children, young people and their parents, women in risk of social exclusion, migrant people, ethnic minorities, elderly people and educational institutions that involve one or more of these target groups.  Baobab also offers its services to other organizations whose objective is the social and labour integration of target groups in situation or risk of social exclusion. The organization’s priority is offering services for the orientation, training and consulting of users and trainers, with special focus on the social and labour integration.

Association Baobab implements training, research and intervention programs focused on the intercultural approach, career counselling, prevention of violence and parenting education, by means of activities in the training centres, primary and high schools.


The Mosaic Art And Sound Ltd. is an education provider operating both in the United Kingdom and at international level. It was founded in 2003 and is based in London. The Mosaic’s focus is in the field of education and culture through services and projects with education and social purposes. It develops its activities by:

  • Delivering seminars and in-service training internationally
  • Organizing and promoting cultural events, festivals and music recordings
  • Liaising with European organizations to promote educational services through  best   practices to enhance intercultural dialogue
  • Designing and delivering innovative workshops for the European school systems
  • Research into music and arts within social contexts
  • Participating in European Union projects in education and culture.

The Mosaic has been the coordinator of successful European projects such as EuroLib, an international project to raise awareness of less widely spoken and taught European languages through children’s book and FolkDC, an international project to enhance European language learning through children’s folk songs.
